Working on valuable historical
organs has a long tradition at
Eule Orgelbau. Around 1930 baroque organs attracted
considerable attention due to the effects of the organ
movement. With its rich stock of historical organs Saxony
offered and continues to offer us an extensive area of activity.
Due to the responsible approach taken to a particularly
valuable historical instrument our company gained a good
reputation in 1933 with the restoration of the Gottfried-
Silbermann organ in its original style. This success brought
in many other orders, the high point of which was the
reconstruction of the Heinrich-Gottfried-Trost organ (1735 -
1739) in the Castle Church of Altenburg between 1974 - 76.
Our company received worldwide admiration for what was
until then the most extensive and demanding restoration
undertaken of the Hildebrandt organ (1743 - 1746) in the
St. Wenzelskirche in Naumburg.
